I can pick up a stock b18A1 real cheap, it runs no problems, I have a b16A2 head and CTR cams, would this make a good lsvtec?

 

i would go for it, you would need some more parts to run the vtec correctly though

 

like what parts? I've never done an lsvtec before, b20vtec yes, but this I have no idea what I need.

 

Vtec water pump, oil pump and timing belt. Take apart that old ls and get some new pistons(with more compression unless its for a turbo motor) and at least new rod bolts if not new rods. Put it back together like brand new.

 

how'd you do your B20 VTEC setup?

 

EF hatch, b20 bottom end, B16 head with ITR intake came, gsr tranny, ITR intake manifold, DC sports exhaust manifold, can't remember anything else besides that
