Putting in some p30 pistons eventually, and im wonder what else I should do while i have everything apart. arp head/rod bolts, wrist pins, pistons rings...what else should i replace to maintenance wise to strengthen the motor? this is my daily driver, and I want this to be the last time I pull everything apart...140k miles on a b18c1 and counting, tia

 

140K on my b18c1 as well, i'm about to drop some p30's too. i am replacing everything you mentioned, as well as balancing my rotating assembly, new headgasket, oil pump, water pump, timing belt, oil pan gasket, and new rod and main bearings, and probably a fresh hone.

any other suggestions?

 

is this your first time doing your timing belt, or did u have a 90k service?

 

timing belt and waterpump time. Also front engine seals. If you want your engine to spin up faster, this is the time to have your flywheel lightened as well. Any good machine shop can take care of it for you.
