Default loofa sponge?

i just got a greddy catch can and i heard since they arent baffled to open it up and run a loofa sponge in it or a piece of steel wool? if so do i just pop off the top and put either of them in there?
i was thinking about running one of them strait to my pvc and the other, i want to drill a hole and add a fitting on my valve cover to vent it. any suggestions??

I would not use a loofa sponge if you do do this because it is not the same quality as steel wool but be sure to understand exactly what you are doing because you dont want to run the risk of ruining something

Those are probably real good since they don't shed little pieces of themselves like hardware-store steel wool.

It shouldn't matter if it's stainless or not, since it'll be coated in oil before long.

What matters is whether you can push it around or squeeze it in your hands without making any steel dust.
