BTW he refuses to deal with it because first of all he has no money. Second, things get messed up in shipping sometimes. Maybe he refuses to deal with it because in fact it's not his problem. If you didn't pay for insurance when you purchased the part i'm sorry to say but even the shipping place (USPS) won't even help you. BTW you saw pictures of the parts before you bought them didn't you? If not we can re-send those pics and you will see that they are BRAND NEW pistons. Hence, it's not his problem. Believe me if he had the money he'd fix the situation as best as he could as far as he's concerned about the situation, but he doesn't so he can't. Best thing to do would be to get ahold of your mailman and let him know the situation and see what he tells you to do. start from there.

WRONG! It is the shipper's problem. When someone packs pistons, rods and rings in 2 tank tops in a light weight shoe box no one else is at fault but the shipper. Period. Regardless of the condition before shipping. The seller should assume accountability insuring the items are properly packed. Like your friend, I too have pictures showing how they arrived, including the packing materials. I would not have packed it that way if I was carrying the box accross the street. Also, he made NO attempt tp rectify the problem. I told him I'm flexible. If he has no money, he could have said he would address the problem another way, OR as soon as he had the money. But he didn't. And if he's selling other things, people should use caution in dealing with him.

I see you have Daigo as a vouch. Not likely.
But I think we'll work this out. Turns out I'll be down you're way in about a month for some other business. We can work things out in person.

Threat's a pretty strong word, and I don't see a threat anywhere, do you? I've lived not far from there before myself, as do my business associates who I'm meeting regarding unrelated business. The "where we live" part isn't a concern for me so let's not start a battle of threats.
I simply want to deal with this, in person is a much better way than doing it this way where things get out of hand.
