finished swap today...haven a few problems..
okay well i just put a jdm d15b into my car and i had a gsr.
after we bled the clutch, unless we did it wrong...the clutch pedal still felt insanely soft...it has that grabbing point but the top half of it is just saggy and can just push down until it gets to that point where theres pressure but that pressure still isnt much at all...its still drivable but the pedal sags to that halfway points sometimes...we bled it over and over and over...so im guessing the clutch i put in is just very soft?!?!
well when i push in the clutch i hear it squeaking and im guessing thats the throwout bearing???
i bought a used clutch from a guy..it was a duralast one from autozone that basically had 5 miles on it...the guy installed it when he put in his rebuilt motor but a few miles down the road the motor blew from bearings being installed wrong so the clutch was basically brand new but not a new throw out bearing....but we made sure to grease it up nicely before we put the tranny on
now as im rolling there is an ANNOYING squeaking sound...i dont know what else it could be but its there anyway it can be the clutch?!? im confused and its just very annoying going from a nice firm gsr clutch to a sloppy soft clutch and this annoying squeaking as im rolling....the clutch pedal also squeaks as i engage it..but like i said im guessing thats because its an old throwout bearing???
lmk what you think this squeaking could be
and also my vtec is not popping but im guessing thats because i have a check engine light which im guessing is from the speed sensor cuz the speed sensor isnt working...
thanks for any help.

first of all AutoZone clutches are junk..... spend a few dollars on an Exedy Oem replacement clutch like 135$. and the squeaking is most likely from the used throwout bearing.
the autozone clutch is your pedal problem as well.

my clutch was squeaking as well.
it was my master cylinder, look under the dash and see if yours is leaking.
it can also be the slave cylinder sqeaking.
then of course it could be the throwout bearing, when you swapped it in you should have put some high temp grease where it slides to prevent the squeak.
however, since yours is squeaking and have a bad pedal, i would replace both the master and slave cylinder first.
the sqeaking while rolling might be a brake squealer telling you that your brakes are bad

okay well... we did put grease on the throwout bearing but its still squeaking when i engage the clutch and disengage but
the loud squealing is there even when the car is off if i push the car?!?!?
its gotta be something from the wheels?!?
could it be the axles or something?
its constantly squealing while my car is rolling?

chances are you still have air pockets in your clutch fluid line. I went through a small bottle of fluid before the pressure built up.
the VTEC will not engage if you have a CEL for the speed sensor. Engagement is dependent on oil pressure and vehicle speed.
Autozone clutches aren't the best, but they're cheap. They're not meant to be beaten on. They're fine for normal driving conditions. What you determine normal could be different though.

my brake pads are fairly new tho? but ill for sure check that...i thought i saw a ton of meat left tho..
im planning on replacing the clutch now i guess...since im planning on boosting this thing i might as well throw a stage 2/3 clutch in now so i wont have to later.

i agree, check your backing plates, and dust shields etc... i bet ones bent and touching a rotor.
also, get a nice clutch with a new throughout bearing.
as for v-tec, what d15 did you put in? im pretty sure the b7's are non vtec, and the b2 is vtec.
not sure on that though...
