good cheap cat
I WANT TO GET A HIGH FLOW CAT FOR MY TEG AND DONT WANT TO SPEND 150+ ON A CARSOUND OR ANY EQUIVELENCIES. I WAS GOIN TO GET A CHEAP ONE FOR 25 OFF OF EBAY BUT THE SELLERS DONT HAVE ONE WITH AN O2 BUNG ON IT SO IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE TO GET A CHEAP CAT WITH AN O2 BUNG LET ME KNOW
the high flow "cats" on ebay are not actually catalytic converters, they're resonated test pipes. if you have emissions tests in your state, you won't pass with one of those.

i got mine off ebay. OBD-I style, no O2 bung, but it was like $50 shipped. a real cat. 49-states legal, though. no CA endorsement. but still, i figured it can't be worse than the 2" stock one. mine is 2.5". okay, *maybe* it doesn't flow like carsound, but alot better than 2"

no, not like that. it's not shiny or anything, it does have platinum honeycomb junk inside, and it does have heat shields top and bottom. i know what a catalytic converter is, okay? it wasn't one of those X3 Racing type deals. it was just a low-buck converter. but hey, 2.5" is 1.5625 as much area as 2", and the stock 2" was 170k miles old, and therefore probably not doing a dam thing anyways.
