Default all motor gsr

i am looking to build an all motor gsr, seeing how it will need a rebuild soon anyways, so i was wondering what parts you recomend to get in the ball park of 250hp? do itb's really make alot of power, or is it just better throttle response? also what kind of tuning do u use with all motor setups? i also want to keep the motor fairly reliable as it is my daily driver for the next few months

250whp in an all motor B18C1 will not be reliable. You're looking 13.1:1 or higher, and 10,500 Redline. And even that might not clear 230hp

you can get alot of power and reliability is gonna depend on what parts you go with and if you cheap out or not and tuning.
ported and polished head, valve job, cams, springs, retainers, good header, sleeving 84mm or so, pistons CP's .etc../ rods omni/etc., balancing , tuning, hondata etc.. its gonna get costly very quickly!
that will get you above 200whp+ for sure, 250 is expenting too much.

PS: OmniMan is a perfect example that you dont need crazy compression to make power!

200 whp isnt that hard. I just had 11.5 compression crower stage II cams, an AEBS IM, 68mm TB, fake J's intake and a Profab header on a 1.8 block with GSR crank. 198 whp on a dynamics dyno... so roughly 205 whp on a dynojet. tuned with a VAFC II..but you need to get Hondata...i wish i had.

I gotta hunch that he is using a B16 or ITR head, seeing as he is using an AEBS intake manifold and they do not make one for the GSR yet. He is making some really good numbers with his setup, that would be a pretty quick car with that power. I'm shooting for 200 whp N/A with my new ls/vtec engine.

you arent going to hit 250WHP, fo forget about that. If you want around 200WHP though...

Port & Polished head, upgraded valve springs, titanium retainers, flat head valves, Skunk2 stage 2/buddy club stage 4/ Rocket M24 cams, CTR pistons, 2 layer head gasket, Skunk2/ITR/AEBS intake manifold, 65mm port matched throttle body, upgraded clutch, 12lb or less flywheel, hondata p200, wide band, JDM ITR style header, 2.5" free flow cat or test pipe, 2.5" cat back exhaust, and a few hours of dyno tuning by someone who knows their ****.

That ought to just about get you there.

Oh, Id also get some energy suspension motor mount inserts to help handle the extra torque.

Hope you have deep pockets.

pR3 head that i personally ported/polished. It was pretty quick. But it wears off, and torque is addictive. I want an H22 now
