Default RS*R VS. APEXi exhaust

I've pretty much narrowed my choices down to one of the above mentioned exhausts. I've searched and it seems as though they are both quiet (a major plus for me), and well made. Although I think I remember one post that said the APEXi WS hung down kinda low? Can anyone verify that? Also is there anyplace out there to get the RS*R for less than $500?
What are you guys general opinions on both of them?

It is going on a 92 Accord LX 2dr, which is bone stock at the moment but I am getting an H22 swap for it next month or so.

Scroll down to the exhaust section... they have the RS*R for $469, and I think shipping is $15. I got my WS II from that same site for $379. Personally I think the RS*R looks much stealthier, and it is quieter too. The only reason I got the WS II is because it was $100 cheaper.

Nice dude, thanks. I've been steering more toward the WS because of the price as well. I DO however think the stealthy look of the RS*R is a big plus though. How much quieter is it?

Hmm..Id get the Apex'i WS. I remember seeing someones RS*R rust out on them after like maybe a year or less. It was on a civic. Get the WS II and you'll be set.

RS*R is a really old brand and I dont know why they dropped sales when they were here like 4-5 years back. Only reason they are back is for DORIFTO!

I have the WS and I love the sound. It does hang kind of low though, so you have to watch out for speedbumbs, fast food wrappers and other road hazards. Its good though. I also have a 92 accord 2door, with an H22.

Anyone have any pics of the two on a 5th gen along with the N1? I want the N1 with custom piping but don't want the sound of it. I don't really like how the WS2 looks but want the sound level it has. I may just keep mine but would like to replace it as the pipe before the muffler has a big dent in it.

Well I guess its a defect. In the second thread though, he states that RS*R is made from 409 SS which isnt aircraft quality 304 so its more prone to rusting from the inside out.

I guess its up to you but Im still wondering why RS*R dropped from the market years ago.

back a 4-5 years ago i heard rumors that RS*R lost their right to distribute/sell in the U.S. Back then the RS*R Invidia was the popular catback. I haven't really seen any of the new RS*R stuff thats now marketed but I had a friend that had the old school Invidia and it was pretty quiet about the same loudness as my WS.

When they dropped I heard that they had merged awith another U.S. company. I remember when LJ Garcia had his hatch that was still blue and he sported the RS*R catback as well.

thats most likely it, cause i know theyve been involved in japan for a long time......and its not unique for a compnay like that to stop selling in the US....mackin did that with a few brands a while back if i remember right

Call us up, we can possibly make that happen!

Well, I have decided, and I am going to go with the RS*R. Seems that the opinion around here is that it is very nice sounding and fits well. The fit is very important to me, I don't want to be scraping my **** all over town. I don't think I will have a problem. It seems that it was only a couple people that had the rust issue and RS*R took care of them.
Now I just need a motor...

i have the original WS and im lowered about 2.25'' in the rear and i have no problems with scraping. pics dont really show it but it tucks in nicely with my BC rear.

If you are doing an h22 swap you will want to get the prelude exhuast and have teh hangers modified.
