my friend seem to be having trouble on his 98 hatch w/ 95Si intake manifold, the engine stalls every other day/

we've changed the ignition/fuel relay, distributor, tps, but it stil no improvements .. i know that the throttle plate keeps getting deposits eventhough it was just cleaned. so maybe i was thinkin it backfires koz it sounds like it too. ne idea what kould be the problem?

also we chek'd the o2 sensor and it was filled w/ white crap [maybe coolant leak from head gasket]... is that enuf to stall the engine while driving or idling?

using the obd1 manifold might miss some vacuum. or other sensors. what d motor is it?

i would say use the y8 manifold. engine has codes?

 

It's a long shot, but check the A/C pressure.
My '97 HB was stalling because my A/C was overfilled, ...go figure, ha, ha ha.

 

its the y7, yeah the chek engine light came on. ne idea which vacuum or sensors it kud be? i was thinkin of the iac but he had this for about 4months and he just had this problem now
