Default si harness in 97 cx?

i bought a 97 cx with a b16a2 swap(p2t ecu). obviously everything was plug and play, but down by the ecu there was four wires that were soldered together from the engine harness to the harness in the car. two of the wires matched up with the colors and the other two were totally different colors. also vtec did not work.

can someone explain to me is this the right way to use that harness in an ek swap? could vtec be not working because of this or is it probably just something with the motor? thanks guys

im assuming its a si harness because it is plugged right into the p2t ecu without a jumper harness.
