Yet another "smoke out the tailpipe" question...
Okay, so here's the deal, barely any smoke out the tailpipe on cold startup, but if I let it idle for a long time and warm it up, then when I start to drive it, she smokes pretty hardcore... Also on hard acceleration and launches it leaves a cloud, HOWEVER... Compression check is 250-250-250-250... The block is new with new rings, bearings, oil pump, etc...
It's weird though because if I stay off the throttle it rarely ever smokes... But it's not rings because compression check shows good, this is the 2nd block I've tried with the same head and it still smokes.
Also, the PCV valve gets oily real fast, however I put a catch can on it and it doesn't catch anything at all (It's been like 500-600 miles and there's nothing in the can.)
So I'm trying to figure out what it is... can valve seals cause smoke under hard acceleration? (Specifically exhaust valve seals?) Because oddly enough I did a header change one time and there was a pool of liquid in the exhaust port of cyl. #2 But I don't think it was oil.
LOTS of carbon build-up in the exhaust ports, inside the CC, and on the plugs. the threads will turn black after roughly 3 days/1 week of driving. (I don't drive THAT much. haha)
Anyhow, if anyone's ever seen this, let me know... I'm hoping it's the valve seals, this this was smoking back in 2002 and I never found out what the prob. was.
Also, if I drive it cold, it almost never smokes, but I don't get on her a whole lot until she warms up.
Thanks, and sorry for yet another valve seal question, believe me I searched and nobody has the same prob. I do with good compression check.

leakdown was 10-10-10-18
Anybody care to gimme some insight or am I just on my own with this one? I'm suspecting the valve seats as I haven't even given in a valve job and I bought the head used it's a b16a1 head (circa 1989) or so I'm told. Think it's time to buy a head with nice big ports and a fresh valve job?

blue/grey... smoke is all the same color to me really, black is richness and white is coolant/water.
