Thanks for the replies. Are all D16y8 oil pans the same? from like a 92-95 si or a 96-00 ex? and what year motor is your oil pans from?

 

No the z6 pan is steel with a different oil pump and windage characteristics than the newer y8 aluminum oil pan and pump. I'd go with a z6 steel pan and pump, as I hear the y8 oil pumps don't do as good of a job.

However, this is only hearsay I don't know.
