Installed CD player - Tails and dash lights went out. $5 paypal to anyone with the answer
I put a cd player in my sisters 94 accord LX wagon. All I did was install the plug and play harness, no cut wires on the car at all.
After the install everything works fine except the tail lights (not brake lights) and dash lights no longer work
I did a quick check on all under hood and kick panel fuses. No luck there.
I put the old OEM radio back in - problem still there.
HELP PLEASE! $5 to anyones paypal that comes up with the correct answer!

it happened to me even tho i had cut wires, but make sure that NO copper wire is showing, also my fuse under the hood blew, i cant remember exactly which one but it was a blue one so go back and re check it
I would guess the fuse check them again. Is the lighter out also? It should be one of the fuses under the hood if I remember correctly not sure which fuse it is do you have a manual? If so check the fuse that is for all of that or if not check the fuses again.
Did you disconnect the batter when installing it? If not I would also suspect a blown fuse even more than if you did disconnect it.
I thought the radio fuse is with the digital clock/cig lighter fuse? correct me if i'm wrong, but that's the case with my 96 ex coupe.
Thinks for correcting me I hadn't looked at it in so long I apparently didn't remember correctly. I still think it is a fuse somewhere but maybe not. It seems like it must be a fuse if the things are all on one fuse.

I have a '98 so this may not be correct on yours. The oem radio has power for the radio from one fuse and power for illumination from the same fuse as the running/dash lights. Find the fuse for the running lights and I'll bet its blown. When you did your install were there any wires that weren't used by the new set up? Is it possible these wires are shorting to each other or gnd?
its a fuse... should also be a 10amp fuse... and that is red so check all your red fuses... in my crx the fuse is under the steering wheel but in your accord it might be under the hood but im telling you its a fuse
