Default *searched* right springs/spring rates for a bseries swapped crx (b20), which brand?

calling upon the help of HT again...
I'm seriously in need of some stiff springs for my b20 swapped crx. It's really starting to **** me off with the stock springs...
I have not cut the stock springs nor upgraded the suspension at all. The crx springs are wayyyy to soft for my b20. I constantly bottom out on my 4-1 header when i hit bumps....these stock crx springs have way to much travel and can't handle the added weight the bseries brings.
What spring rates do you guys with bseries crx's/hatches recommend? I want stiffer springs but i'm not sure how stiff is too stiff. Ride comfort is not an issue....my motor is. I don't care how uncomfortable the crx is because of having stiff springs...i just don't wann bottom out the b20 anymore.
Also...i do not know too much about spring rates and handling characteristics...what is the general rule....for example, are stiff springs better for cornering or soft springs better...
are stiff springs better for straight line performance or are soft springs. i want as little suspension travel as possible for my motor. Staright line performance is more important to me but i don't want to sacrifice all of the crx's wonderful handling abilities.
I'm not necessarilly looking to lower it more than 1 inch...in fact it's prolly already lowered 1-1.5 inches with the b20
so what spring rates for both the front and back and what brand should i go with?
should i also upgrade the shocks right now as well or can that hold off till summer?

help me please...

if i rember correctly vap runs the progress springs and he loves them. i was also looking into them. I wanted to get the omni's cuz i heard that they kick *** but i e-mailed them and they said that they do not make them stiffer for the b series swaps like progress does.

thanks for the reply...
anyone else have any info about these?
what are the streetable spring rates for a crx with a bswap? maybe 350 front 375-400 rear? That seems to be a compromise between stiffness and streetability thru my research....
anyone?
what are the spring rates on the progress springs?

bump...anyone?
how do 400fr. and 350r sound?
or should i go with a 450 rear? which will be better for cornering/handling? will the stiffer rear affect straight line performance? I'm thinking the stiffer rear will help reduce "squat" upon harsh accelerations...

I experienced coil bind with my GC setup when I tried 330# in the front. Now I run 425# in front (Hypercoil springs), ride quality is good.
I have a two-finger gap at each wheel.

Coil bind is basically when there is no space left between the coils under compression - like riding a tractor.

i.e. - the springs are not stiff enough for the application. That is why I moved from 330# up to 425#.

I run the OTC Koni Yellow single adjustable with Eibach ERS linear race springs on a Ground Control sleeve. Very nice set up for the price and you are then height adjustable. No problems with it. It is a stripped car for track use only but when I drive it to events I just run the shocks softer. Full stiff well, it is a stiff ride. I usually adjust the rear shock settings to dial in my handling in that the fronts on a dry track typically stay full stiff. Handles great though with ST 22mm rear sway. I run 450lb. in the front and 550lbs. in the rear.

I would run 12k front and 14k rear........650l and 800 american. Looking at running the same rates with my H22 CRX.
