i just got done filling up my car w/ gas, and i leave. i get in the intersection, i proceed to turn left to go home, when all of a sudden my car cuts off and will not turn back on.
car ran fine before
what in the hell did i do!!!???

any input is appreciated

 

has this happened before? maybe you got some bad gas or something?

 

it has never happened before, i had a half of tank of gas already in it.
i hope its bad gas

 

does the motor turn over?

 

yeah the car turns over like normal, it is just not starting. i made sure my ecu was connected snug, im too pissed off to check the plugs right now and its late, i am just wondering why it did it all of a sudden, in the middle of traffic to make matter worse

 

Do you hear your fuel pump prime?

STUPID question but i heard stories of this actually happening to people. Did you put desiel in on accident?

 

the fuel pump didnt prime, i didnt hear a single noise

 

well i checked all the fuses and my under dash 15amp ecu fuse blew.

 

change it!

 

i changed the fuse, it turned on, the fuel pump primed, only ran it for a minute, im too tired to worry about it right now, i just wanna know why my fuse would suddenly blow, that seems a bit strange

 

maybe something happened and caused a bad ground?? probably stupid, but it could be the case.

 

i changed the o2 sensor w/ a good used one earlier in the day, maybe the connection wasnt tight?

if you have a fuel pump kill switch you might want to check that as well. also check the wires going to the pump.

 

I turned my car on as well after painting the valve cover and it ran fine then just shut off...I guess Im going to check the fuses too..

I've seen weirder. I installed my indash TV and then connected a CD changer and it blew my backup fuse. Just keep an extra with you incase it happens agian.

 

yeah, now i have a whole pack of them

i just dont want to blow a fuse in the middle of an intersection. that is dangerous and scary with cars coming at you
