you will probably find a idle position sensor being bad, or the Idle air control valve. that would be on the backside of the manifold, firewall, that would just need to be unbolted (2 I think) and probably replaced.

I'm sure there is some other thoughts around..good luck..

thanks 4drmadness for the advice but thats not the problem.. I got the code 9 to go away but the idle is still messed up..the idle speed screw is almost all the way out but still doing it.. the hose on the back is out and it stops reving but it will stay idle at 1500 and not lower unless i'm driving.. any other tips??

look into your o2 sensor or it is a vacum leak around master cylinder where it's connected to the break booster, check idleaircontrol valve, and the valve under the trottle body

try turning the idle screw down, my car would do this when my idle would be to high.
i just turned it down and reset the ecu and it went away.

Heres what i did.. First i changed the iacv... same thing.. second i dont know what this sensor is called but i believe its the idle speed sensor. it has the vaccuam line hooked up to it.. same thing, third i unbolted the twos crews under the tb and turn the bracket as tight as possible and same thing. I even turn the idle speed screw almost all the way out and still the same thing.. At times when its hot outside it will idle fine..but only for a few stop lights then it starts back up again when you give it gas.. it feels like its not even at idle and is truning hard to idle..I drops down to 800rmps then jumps to 1500 please i need this fix.. its starting to really **** me off. Funny thing is at stop lights, some fools think i'm reving on them..

Resetting the ecu doesnt fix it..but yeah.. I played with it some more and now it stops reving less but sometimes if you dont give it gas at a stop light it will die.. It wont hold idle.. will idle at 1k then fall and the car dies unless you hold on the gas pedal..???????anyone.......
