146,000 Miles?
I'm about to buy a 90' Integra and it has 146,000 miles on it. The guy I'm buying it from has had it since it was new. He said he had the oil changed regularly and just put new clutch, starter, timing belt, and alternator. Now it just needs a muffler. Can anyone think of anything that could go wrong with this engine(or whole car) at that amount of miles?

my girlfriends cars has 290K miles on its and besides things wearing out (like they should) like the disributer and water pump (expensive though) the engine and the rest of the car has held up great.
My 96' Integra has 156,000 miles on it and it's fine other than a heavily pitted windshield which is being replaced very soon. Obviously stuff wears out and will need to be replaced, like brakes, tires, and all that kind of junk, but you gotta expect that. Only problem I'm having is that it seems to be burning oil. It's not leaking, but once a month I need to refill the oil because it's going down. My mechanic told me that any car with that many miles will have that problem though, so I guess it's normal, and he said it won't hurt the car as long as it's maintained. Other than that, the car's mint, so I say go for it.
