power steering removed, plug open connections?
back when I was getting my motor built, almost a year ago, I had my power steering system removed as well. but it was obviously done the ghetto way and connections were left open. so almost a year later, Im left with this...

as you can see this area is very dirty inside and out. should I worry about cleaning any of that grime out of there or should I just go ahead and cap the connections as is? what do you suggest closing the holes with?

When you're done smacking opie around with your cast
go get Acura part # 53735 sr3 960 Listed as a "power cooler" and some type of barb fitting for the hole
I've had it like that for a couple of years now and so far so good
Props to Dropspeed's infamous P/S thread

H-T user Padawan sells a power steering removal kit that comes with the barb fitting for the hole and allows you to loop the rack. you 't' into that loop and run a line up to a reservoir of ps fluid so your rack never runs dry and seizes. it comes with everything you need for around $60. at least it did when i bought it.
check it out, it keeps everything nice and clean in the engine bay, you can mount the reservoir wherever you'd like.

quick dumb question, is there a drain bolt for the steering rack? I need to flush it but didnt see any drain bolt in the Helms. Also, Im guessing I can just fill it using the fluid return hole on the rack?

found out today that no fluid is actually in the horizontal portion of the rack. fluid is only up near the return and feed lines.
