you should go to a muffler shop and tell them to weld a resonator onto your piping

Any inline-4 with a straight through muffler will sound raspy and horrible especialy if the catalyst was removed..

A resonator will help deepen the sound but it will still be loud as hell..
Weld in an 18" resonator close to the header..And a 10" resonator close to the muffler..It'll be deep and bassy..
And please dont get magnaflow..All there **** weights so much

Do resonators add any restriction?

This is untrue. While not having a cat will make your car sould like wiener, I have 2.5" piping, a single straight through Dynomax muffler and a cat. No rasp, no drone, just deep gurgly awesomeness. My friend drove it by me last night, sounds awesome.

A perforated core glass packed resonator does not cause any relevant restriction.

Dont waste any more $. Unbolt your header b4 the cat and enjoy an open header! IMHO there isnt ANY exh. that sounds better.... Or go for the elec. cut out and do it from inside your car, then press a button and go pass emissions...
