Bogging Issue H22 please help!
so the car was fine all day then i am at a stoplight and it turns green so i start to go and its bogging like it only has s cylenders. im like wtf. pull over check the MAP all vaccumm lines doesnt look like anythings wrong. unplug the ECU to clear anything start it back up. same thing.
It only bogs if i give it any more than maybe 5% throttle.
any ideas? maybe TPS?

check your ignition related components, is the dizzy still snug? not wandering when you give it gas..., could be a bad coil or something too (i'm not sure on the year of your car, but if it's external that should be a simple test atleast - with reference to the helms) - check all the plug wires etc. could be bad fuel also but i would imagine that would give you trouble below 5 percent throttle too. Someone else correct me if i'm wrong - but can't you just unplug the tps and see if it does the same thing - atleast it could take that out of the equation for ya, even tho you'll throw the cel.
best of luck.
best of luck.
its a 92 JDM H22 in a 92 civic hatch. the only thing i could really think of is the TPS or MAP....
im pulling everything apart right now so we'll see...

Ok well i unplugged the TPS and it didnt do anything so im pretty sure its the TPS. anybody know where i can get a used one or if they can be fixed in any way?
with the car in neutral and you stab it, it die? can you roll on the throttle and raise the rpms? any smoke?it just bog out or any sputtering?
just for ***** and giggles do a compression or leakdown test.

unfortunatley you can't buy them from honda as a single piece - it has to be bought with the entire throttle body which is of course very expensive. you're best bet would be to find one at a junk yard/ebay and buy it - you'll have to slot the little rivets that hold it on with a hacksaw/dremel - so that you can use a screwdriver to remove it. I don't believe it can be fixed in anyway - I think it's just a variable resistor, that changes voltage according to throttle position. You're going to have to set the exact position of it when you put a new one on - someone had a link to a site that showed how to do it... I don't remember the link off the top of my head.
best of luck.
(I hope by "it did nothing" you mean that it didn't bog, not that there wasn't any change in the results)
