Alcohol for scratches?
My mother put a scratch in her car, it's a 97 and isn't really worth paying a body shop to fix it. I read on a few web pages that Isopropyl Alcohol (rubbing alcohol) works really well on the clear coat scratches. Is this true? What does it do to the clear coat? Has anyone tried this and recommend it?

Which is why I figured I'd ask before I tried, thanks

bring it to a body shop, alot of times they can charge a nominal fee to rub the scratch out using some heavy duty rubbing compound and diamond cut
