Default How Much??

I've got a 91 crx w/ a b16 swap and no other performance mods. Right now i have about $1,500 that i can afford to spend. I was wondering what mods would be the cheapest/ most effective? My goal is to eventually get into the 13's. Thanks

youd think that if you swapped a b16 into your car you would be able to answer your own question.

Ok times.....
In an Hf
Stock b16a - mid 14's
i/H/E -So many variable but a worthy combo: maybe 14.1-14.2

I say with that 1500
You upgrade your valvetrain buddy. Get that ITR retainer set, with valves and springs and all that "garbage." Then throw some CTR cams in there. With 1500 you won't be able to get like SIII Toda parts but you'll definately have a better N/A, safer, Higher reving motor with the Valvetrain upgrade and new cams. With like 3g's you could just go over the whole motor, the block, forged rods, low Cp pistons, P&P, 3 angle job on your valves. all that stuff.
But that's just wishful thinking on my part. With 1500.....invest in a better valvetrain, and some like addons if you have some left over.

With a great driver with IHE you might be able to pull a low 14 with slicks. Here in Central Florida the avg I have seen a B16 into a crx is normally a very low 15 and just barely into the 14s on street tires with intake/header/exhaust. Drivers make the differance and tires do also and of course the track.
