Default When putting gas in my tank..........

When putting gas in my tank, the pump will stop like my tank is full.. Sometimes, some stations it will stop 5 or 6 times while im putting $5. dollars in !!!! It's not the station, it's the car.. Cuz that doesnt happen to my lady's Corsica or when I fill my Envoy....

Anybody have that problem??

I had that problem with a 240sx that i had. the only thing that i could do to fix it was to hold the nozzle out of the neck of the tank alittle to avoid it from shutting off automatically. but i never found a long term fix untill i got broadsided right at the gas door and the shop had to replace the entire neck, tank, and side of the car.

I have that problem from time to time. You just have to adjust how far you put the nozzle in and hopefully find something that works. It is highly annoying though.

You are probably having an issue with the vapor recovery system of the car, it's not the pump it is your car, perhaps there is a clog somewhere in the vapor recovery lines and since it is backing up, the pumps think that the tank is full even when it is not.
