If you don't go popping the clutch everywhere the stock ones should be able to handle it. If your car is lowered quite a bit they'll break much easier though, because the CV joints can't take the power and the severe angle together. If it were me, I'd just get some Autozone cheapo's with the lifetime warranty. You'll get axle changes down to a science.

Stock axles are more than fine for 250 horsepower. There are many guys with 400 HP running stock axles. Just don't go dropping your clutch like an idiot and you'll be fine. In most cases it is better for your axles to break then your diff. They are a hell of alot easier to replace.

So autozone sells axles with a lifetime warranty? Also, isn't taking the wheel hub nut off every time a pain in the ***?

Tell me about it i couldnt even get that bolt off .... I Had to take off the upper and lower bolt joints and disconnect the outter tie rod and then disconnect the brake line from the caliper and from the hub and then take the axle out at the half shaft and then take the assembly to my job to take the bolt off wit a air gun and I still even had to heat it up wit a propane torch to take that damn bolt off ...
