Cd7 jdm h22a swap question

I havn't found a clear answer to this question. I heard if I you replace the JDM header with a usdm header then no custom work needs to be done to the accord piping. (it should bolt right up)
Does anyone know if this is true? If not what are my options for the exhaust system?

i had to cut my header to fit, because it was too long. i coulda cut my accord piping to fit the header, but i did the ladder. Nothing a good exhaust shop cant fix.

no this is not true at all...the h22 header is always too long (b/c their cat is located farther back than ours)...it's really not all that much custom work to be done...
there's no way around it really... you dont want the stock exhaust anyways, it restricts too much
i got mine custom done with 2.25" piping grand total of $150. included 4 flanges and a 22" resonator

http://www.cb7tuner.com has more info on this subject; infact it's pretty extensive, just search. It's cb7 btw
i heard that you can use a header from a 97 and up prelude SH, without modifications. but when i purchased my JDM h22 front clip, the engine already had a nice header, so i had it modified to fit the prelude header. i also put on a high flow cat and had custom pipe done for the rest of the exhaust.

actually I think this guy has a CD accord (5th gen). On the 5th gens, you have to custom fab it.
On the 4th gens, the h22 header and downpipe will bolt up to the stock cat and exhaust.

From what I've seen it takes just a little cutting/welding to make the h22 header fit... There are a lot of other more important things to think about for this swap besides the exhaust bolting up.
*ahem* he does know there are more important things to consider..if there was anything else he was unsure about with the swap hed for sure ask those first..as this is his first question it seems this is his foremost concern. and ive been doing a joint effort to find info about this swap cause hes from mah home town and we are both doing the swaps in to accords, his a 5th gen ex and mine a 4th gen lx..i did point him to the cb7tuner popular swaps/hybrid sticky and id vaguely explains the fix for this..btw post up some picks of your newly accquired cd yO!!!
Yeah, its just that a friend of mine has been in the process of swapping an h22 into his cd7 for 6 months now and the shop that helped him screwed him over... one of the first things he did was the exhaust and that was so long ago it seems like it doesnt even matter (to him). If ya see where I'm coming from now... haha
I'd like to see some pics though

90-93 the regular H22 header bolts up.</TD></TR></TABLE>
That is good to know. Can anyone else verify or back this up? For the 94-97 Accord.

I know for my swap I just got a test pipe for a 4th gen prelude (92-95 or whatever) because the flanges were different for the h22 header than the f22. Then i cut about 2 inches off my exhaust pipe after the test pipe and welded the flange back on. Total cost $40 and no hacking of the h22 header.
