Default J's racing engine damper, just hype?

Does installing an engine damper really improve, reduce, kinetic energy transfered from the engine, therefore improve shifting and engine torque.

I think you're better off spending you money somewhere else, a suspention build up can go long ways before you ever need to buy those little trinkets, sure some may work but aside from the bling factor, it doesnt really do much else.

So Anthony, do you believe Billy? Motor mount bushings would probably do just as well.

u know how sometimes when u install a new part you have this preconceived notion that it will do something, when in reality it doesnt do anything? that's what im thinking.

I have a feeling it should help. I don't know if you met our other friend Britton. He has a RSX-S and a torque damper in it. I think he says it helped for his car, I'll get back to you on that.

AIM conversation between me and a friend with RSX-S that has a torque mount

Me: u know ur engine torque mount
Me: did u notice any benefits from having it?
Friend: Yes
Friend: Very much
Me: ooo
Me: what did it do?
Friend: I can launch at 4000 without wheelhop
Me: cause im considering getting one
Friend: Car feels more stable
Friend: It feels like a car, rather than a bunch of parts flying in unison
Me: haha
Friend: You should just get motor mount inserts if you don't mind the cabin vibrations
Friend: They're cheaper
Friend: Yeah it makes your car a lot tighter
Friend: Shifting too
Friend: And it makes your engine sound more throaty
Friend: Cuz of the vibrations
Friend: It's r33t

well, yes my friend ^_^ haha u posted this bcoz i saw me having one huh? hum... well i picked up my car tonight and i noticed a big difference on shifting as well as the engine transfer. it doesnt feel like it gives more torque to the ground since its a B16, but it definitely provides better shifting, and more solid feelings to the car!!! i liek the effects that brought from it and it also looks good in my engine bay ^O^ ho ho ho

here we go: "Engine damper kit is used to hold the engine and chasis together to reduce engine vibration and rotational loss during acceleration." in another word, it reduces the Kenetic engine loss from the engien to the wheels ^_* good stuff guys!!!
