Default At turbo

Yea I have a d15b7 and I want 2 go faster in it but it's an AT so I thought all was lost. But then one person at a racing shop gave me hope......He said I could get a small shot of nos but Y waste it cuz i don't drag.....So I asked about a small turbo and he said it'd be coo 4 my LX........I asked him if the trans would hold up and he said yea but only if it was a small amount like 5lbs of boost. So now my hopes R all high and I hope he's right, but I knew I had 2 come and ask U proffessionals first.......I've been lookin at D-series turbo kits on Ebay and on homemadeturbo.com they have a lot of good custom applications........thanks 4 your time

Before you get the turbo kit, get an EX transmission. Should be around $300. It will help the perfomance of your car greatly and make it much more fun to drive. Then boost it.

Ever try a local junkyard? EX trannies aren't in very high demand, and its best not to buy such big/heavy/possibly junk parts on ebay. Personally I'd rather have a manual n/a car than a turbo auto. And thats not taking into account the seveal auto Honda trannies that've broke on me.

I hear around that autos throw fits when they get turboed, sometimes. All I know is that on my sunfire when the intake air temperature sensor was disconnected, it would shift like one would dump the clutch going into every gear. I would hate to know what it would have done should I have boosted it or something...

Well a Sunfire and a Civic don't compare AT or not.......Apples and Oranges......But yea If I get it from a Junkyard do I have 2 wory about any of the parts rotting from not being used? and do any of the Integra trans bolt up? Cuz if that were the case Id get the GS-r AT trans that shouldn't be 2 hard 2 find

Lmao. Yea, I love them too. If you search (which I doubt you will) I've made many posts on here of what I did to that car. Includes: flooring and dumping it in drive, blown headgasket in 4 places, leaks oil like a ******, and balded 2 tires. That car was such a piece of ****; ran the 0-60 in 15 sec (now a few seconds slower thanks to me)

My point was that in some turbo'd cars I have ridden in, the sensors throw fits. Map, etc. And when cars have to shift themselves, there's no telling how they would react to all that **** hitting the fan.

A GSR is a B series engine, hence B series tranny. Your D15B7 is a D series engine and tranny.

B and D series are not interchangeable.

There would be a very noticeable gain if you did the manual swap. I believe that autos tend to dyno 10-15 HP lower than their manual counterparts because of the tranny cooler, power being sucked away, inefficiency of the torque converter, and the list goes on. Getting off the line without destroying your car is one roadblock I ran into with my auto (and one that ended up partially destroying my drivetrain anyways).

I don't believe GSR's ever came in automatic. Anywho it wouldn't bolt up to your D series block.
