Default 99 CIVIC COUPE W/B18C TURBO

I JUST HAD MY CIVIC TURBOED AND THERE ARE A FEW THINGS I AM NOT TO SURE ABOUT, ANY INPUT IS WELCOMED. FIRST, THE TURBO KIT IS A DRAG GEN.4 WITH A BLIZT SS BOV,TURBONETICS T3/TO4E TURBO,IN LINE FUEL PUMP, ALL DRAG PIPING, BOOST DEPENDANT FMU AND DELTAGATE MARK 2. THE MOTOR IS A JDM B18C WITH STOCK INTERNALS. I HAVE THE FUEL PRESSURE SET AT 40 PSI, THE BOOST AT 7.INITIAL TIMING IS SET AT STOCK. MODIFICATIONS ARE AS FALLOWS...MSD SCI, ACCEL EXTERNAL COIL, MSD 8.5MM COIL WIRE ,9.3MM PLUG WIRES ,ZEX PLUGS,FULL EXAUST, CLUTCH SPECIALTY'S 4 PUCK RACING DISC (UNSPRUNG) ACT PRESSURE PLATE AND LIGHTENED FLYWHEEL, LSD,SKUNK 2 MANIFOLD,CHIPPED GSR ECU, AND INTERCOOLER. WITH ALL THAT SAID, I HAVE SOME QUISTIONS REGARDING PERFORMANCE AND OPERATION. WHEN THE CAR IS IN NUETRAL AND I REV THE MOTOR UP, THERE IS NO BLOW OFF SOUND. WHEN LOOK AT THE BLOW OFF WHEN I REV IT IT OPENS AND LET AIR OUT, BUT THERE IS NO SOUND. WHILE UNDER LOAD IT SOUNDS. ALSO IT SEEMS THAT BOOST COMES IN LATER DURING FIRST GEAR THEN ALL THE OTHERS. WHEN BOOST COMES IN THE RPM'S SHOOT TO RED LINE (STOCK) SO FAST THAT YOU WOULD THINK THAT THE TIRES ARE UP IN SMOKE. IS IT THAT THE TURBO IS PUTTING OUT SO MUCH POWER THAT I AM MOVING THAT FAST? WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE TRACK MY BEST 60 FOOT WAS 2.658, AND 1/4 MILE TIME OF 15.236.WHEN I LAUNCHED (AT AROUND 3500RPM) THE TIRES WENT UP AND I COULD NOT GET ANY TRACTION UNTIL THE END OF 2ND GEAR. THE SECONED TRY I TOOK OFF CLOSE TO IDLE AND IT BEHAVED AS DESCIBED ABOVE THROUGH FIRST AND MY 60 FOOT WAS 2.789!! AND 1/4 OF 15.244. HOW FAST SHOULD THIS COMBO BE GOOD FOR? SHOULD I SWITCH TO 15'S IN ALL 4 CORNERS INSTEAD OF 17'S? HOW MUCH WHEEL HORSEPOWER SHOULD I BE MAKING?ANY ADVISE PLEASE.

It sounds like you should have done your homework first. That is a shitty time at the track with what you have done to the car. All motor it should have run at least that time, if not better. You are really just wasting your time at the track if you are not going to, at least, run drag radials. Also, you will not hear any sound from the BOV until it is under load. It doesn't mean it is not working.

sounds like driver error at the line if anything. Also have you heard of turbo lag. Before it starts your gonna get flamed for being in the wrong forum. You would probably want to post in the forced induction and the other civic forum.

Get your self some slicks for the track or get some HX wheel swith sticky tires. That will help out alot on wheel spin.
Lower the tire pressure down to 20-25 and that will help them grab also. You have a nice setup you just need to dial it in. I have seen cars setup like your do low 13's high 12's . You have to set it up.

1. Lots and lots of NOS (not NX og Zex, only NOS will do the job)
2. To learn how to spell
