anyone did this swap a DC cluster into a EG chassis, need the wiring comparisment in specific, and other pointers

its a JDM ITR cluster into a 92 Civic....

i know Migs had one for the EK, which was helpful but need it for a DC...

Is the install flush with the rest of the dash? When I saw the picture of the S2000 dash in the eg it looked like it was poping out a lot. Also how long did this take you 92CivicEX?

it does not sit in there completly flush.. i had to dremal some of the stock guage cluster surrounding away to make it fit in better.. i want to get a dash trim and try it agian to make it a little better but i am happy w/ it for now.. its looks good and everyone is amazed when they get into my car and see that cluster is not the same as every other civic.. if you want i can send closer pics so you can see how it looks.. let me know..

i know that i have seen it for the civic guage cluster but for the integra, i dont think i have ever seen one..

btw, Maximus here is a link to what inspired me to install the integra cluster into my civic.. i have no idea how they got it looking soo good, its almost like the put the integra guages into the civic housing and that is why its lined up perfect and looks flush..

1) wiring IS different for type R and GSR clusters

2) do NOT splice wires, just move the pins around, MUCH cleaner and alot easier.

yes you do need the connectors from the integra if you are putting this into a 5gen civic, if its a 6gen they are the same.. i spiced the wires but you can do it by moving the pins around but i think it might take longer that way depending on what year civic you are doing it on..

This is something I've been wanting to do for a while, but I haven't come across much information about it. Are the 94-00 GS-R clusters the same? If not, what years are the ones I need to look for? I can get a great deal on a 98 cluster to put in my 92 VX. So along with the cluster I would need the Integra plug connectors as well? With the wiring would I just take all of the wires out of my factory plugs and re-pin them into the Integra plugs?
Is it hard to get it to position and fit correctly into the dash opening. I saw that you said that you used a Dremel to grind away some of your trim. Do you think it is possible to get it in there without doing that? I don't want to do anything that can't be reversed. My old trim panel cracked and I had a hard time finding the one I have now, so I would rather not cut it if possible.

How do you put these gauge clusters in the car correctly? I would like to switch my 94eg civic dx cluster to like a Teg or something. Where can I get them and who will install them?
you can get them off ebay or from a junkyard.. you can install them also using the wiring diagrams that i posted on this topic..
