I almost considered selling my car to build something else, but there is no way I would put my car up for sale right wow with what the market looks like.
Great time to be a buyer, but there is no way I would be a seller right now.
Good luck with the sale.

I'll buy the Del Sol, and then I'll trade you the NSX straight up for this beautiful Del Sol... It's even got new paint, and was driven by none other than Mike Galati!

From this guy who kept telling me he was buying my Blue/Orange car. LOL. Speaking of which...those looking for a H1 car, that will be on eBay next at a low reserve and a Buy it Now of 10k.
No, it is certainly not a good time to be selling. I wish I was buying though.
Just as a suggestion, people who REALLY know what they are looking for when buying a race car are going to want to know the biggies...
- Cage (type, who built it)
- Shocks (Tokicos? Konis? Motons? See what I mean?)
- Has it been badly wrecked
- Tranny (final drive. LSD)
- Spares package
Its all great and wonderful that Galati drove the car, but I certainly wouldn't bid on an ebay car based on that. You have this nice long paragraph written there with very little useful information. When you are selling a race car, and don't mention major stuff like the cage and suspension, people will assume those things are so low dollar they aren't worth mentioning.
Just a suggestion.

If the ebay description isn't good enough, read this previous post... This will give plenty of info about the car when it was for sale late last year:

I'll give you an example using my car:
91 ITC Honda Civic
Great car. Won a bunch of races in 2003 and 2004, always on the podium.
Fresh paint and motor. Very fast. Honda Challenge founder Karl Shultz says its the best handling FWD car he's ever driven.
or
91 ITC Honda Civic
Sunbelt motor with dyno sheets available. 4.7 final drive with OPM limited slip. Koni custom valved shocks with Eibach springs. Extensively tested and sorted by multiple front running drivers.
Custom Kirk 8 point cage with NASCAR style drivers side door bars. Custom welded-in seat mount with Kirkey aluminum seat. All safety equipment is up to date and the car has a 2005 annual tech
Comprehensive spares package including 4 sets of wheels and dry Hoosiers and one set of unused mounted dirt stockers. I spare disassembled race motor and 3 spare trannys are included with other various parts.
6 wins in 2004 including the ARRC enduro and 3rd place in the ARRC sprint. Track record at VIR (unofficial due to it happening in an enduro).
No mechanical DNFs.
Same car in both listings.
Which would YOU buy???
Scott, trying to be a good sam.

Personally if it was me, it wouldn't matter... because I'd be contacting the person and asking for a rap sheet like you busted out. Any serious buyer should still have questions for you about your car. I doubt there are many buyers out there that will be satisfied with just the explanation of the car they found on the web. Atleast I would HOPE they would! -Brian, who has tried to buy the Orange/blue car for well over a year now, and still has questions to ask!
Catch 22- I know what your saying, however, If people were truely interested in buying the car they would A) email me about those specifics is why I didn't include them, Anyone who is bidding I would like to talk to first. B) they would get a phone number because Id prefer talking to these people on the phone...actually giving them by dads number and having them call him. The ebay listing was to get them in the door, I'd like to walk them threw it. Esp. on ebay, most people on there wouldn't know a whole lot about those specs, if I said it had a sunbelt engine...they would be "huh?"
I've have my detailed spec posts I could refer people to if they were truely interested, as my buddy "meanb18' pointed out.
If it were one of our H1 cars, I would be much more about posting specs, however, when dealing with an H3 car I feel specs don't mean as much. And why I posted about Galati is simple...the information he gave in feed back on the handling will make that car faster then any sunbelt engine...4.795 final drive...or DC header.
Once again, thanks for your imput, just explaining how I attempted to deal with the "retail" public.
If anyone would like all the specifics, please feel free to PM me.

Only 3 days left...I have 3 people calling on monday who would like to end it early. If anyone is interested please hit me up ASAP to put something together.
If we can sell the other del Sol and the blue and orange hatch, probably start working on a 02+ chassis. Also, lot of development is going into our 99 Civic 4door DP/HU/WCT car. That car is getting ALOT of updates this winter and should be ready for May.

Actually if i was looking at a car that didn't have a good description I would just assume the seller doesn't know either and go straight to the next option.

I'm pretty sure if you read the description on my listing, and then saw the user name on ebay is 'lucasmotorsports7', I'm pretty sure you could put two and two together that we have a clue on how are cars were built. Maybe I shouldn't assume people have common sense.
We have drivers that we have built and maintained cars for many years, this is our primary customer base for our racing program. To these people, the ones who spend large somes of money paying someone else to do all the work for them, they just want to arrive and drive, facts like who built the engine, what name brand part is on the car, ect. doesn't mean anything. They care what the car is done in the past, and how fast it can go in the future.
Honda-Tech users who have an extened knowledge base might find my ways not good, however, H-T is very limited, compared to the rest of the race car buyers market and I'm advertising to the bigger markets.

is lucasmotorsports supposed to mean something? a screen name with motorsports in it isn't going to mean they know something. Just trying to help out a sale.
Its just like a resume. Are you going to withhold information that could get you a job or are you going to list out the qualities for the employer.
