hey guys i really need help. a bolt snapped on the rear control arm. i have a 92 civic ex coupe. i am trying to get the shocks out to put new springs in them and now the bolts have snapped on me. Please if anybody can help me or gimme some suggestions please help.
you have two options
if its just the head of the bolt snapped you can still ride on it. to change the spring out now. you have to remove the whole lca with the strut off the car.
as for option 2(requires new struts)
remove the whole lca off with the strut on it. get a grider or hack saw and saw the weld nut off. once hte nut is off get a big hammer and tap the bolt out. also you would need a new lca bolt too off a honda dealer
with this option you only need new rear struts and bolts.
i myself did option2 only had to spend $50 total for 4 used stock struts and bolts
i personaly find it alot easier to remove the whole lca to change springs
i can do all 4 springs with handtools in about 1hr

thanx guys but new problem, i have been sprayin pb blaster n letting it sit and guess what happen head of bolt snapped of rite where the lca connects to the brakes
So remove the bolts holding the LCA in, the trailing arm, and remove the upper shock mount, pull the entire thing out of the car and work on it outside and make like 10000X easier on yourself.

Yes, I know. But its gonna be a hell of alot easier to drill out/work on out of the car. You're already planning on putting new springs on so you were going to be removing the struts/shocks anyways. Pull a few more bolts and the whole brake/trailing arm/LCA assembly will come out.
