Default ***im stumped on this swap im doing need help no spark***

well i got a 92-95 civic CX that rolled in and he did his own motor swap (b16) but didnt complete it has so much missing misc. stuff i got all the parts needed

heres the problem
the motor isnt getting any spark heres what ive done

changed out the harness and wired it up with knock from cx to ex
has a used distributor but new cap and rotor
we tried all different sorts of ecus p72 p28 p30
ive checked contenuity of any distributor wires that would give any problems from ecu to engine bay, engine bay to distributor they are all makign contact
the main relay is good even tho i dont think that has to do with distributor
it has new sparkplugs and wires are old but they work they are stock b16
we switched the distributor with a brand new KNOWN working from another car to it still same symptoms no spark we tried to get spark with the cx harness same problem

getting power to the coil on the used distributor
theres fuel , the car still has the cx cluster not sure if that would make a difference
if it does let me know, sometimes we get a spark but its very weak and its not consistant it only sparks after right when you finish cranking and and at the end of that crank it would sometimes show a spark as you let go of the key that is ..
all fuses are good thats been checked so many times so has the harness
thanks guys let me know some of your expertise on this one
all grounds checked

This might be dumb and probably already checked, but maybe the batts dead or dying or is it cranking good?

And then next you sure the dist. isnt 180?

Then ignitor? But you said that you tried with a known working one. It has to be something very simple and stupid.

Sounds like a ground wire isn't hooked up. Make sure they're all good and clean. Check the one on the thermostat housing.

I had the same problem as you did and it turned out to be the main relay and the computer was damaged

all grounds are good and we used differentecus already that are known to work already and the fuel pump is working so im assuming the main relay is working also i guess thats 1 thing to replace any1 know where its located on a 92-95 hatch cx?

If it is still getting no spark it has got to be something minute I bet. nothing major. I would recheck the grounds once again. Another thing is check the coil with a mulitmeter again outside of the car meaning take the coil out of the distributor. My coil recently went bad and it wouldnt spark at all and another thing the dude that originally could never get the car to crank and sold it to me for little of nothing and all that I did to get it to start was tighten the ground on the thermostat housing.

The reason I stress the ground situation is because more than once I have had a problem with a car and it ended up being a ground the whole time either on the transmission or on the motor.

Good luck bro and fill us in on what you end up fixing to get this thing up and running.
