Need Troubleshooter
My d16y7 wont get spark. I have replaced the distributor and ecu, checked fuses. Im about to send it to a shop but it feels like im missing something, feels like a brain fart. I dont trust other people at shops. Is there a complete troubleshoot for a 2000 civic cx?

how are you checking spark? also where did you get the distributor? and have you checked to make sure the rotor spins when you crank the car? the simplest things are the easiest to miss sometimes.

Did the car just die while driving? Did you do some maintenance and now it won't spark? Where's the distributor from? Just a stock Cx? Any CEL's?

The car used to missfire during wide open throttle. Replaced plugs wires and rotor. Problem continued. Car died one morning on my way to work, never started ever since.

you getting fuel??? main relay goes bad, no power to the fuel pump, repeated attempts at cranking with no fuel pressure and the ecu will cut spark. should check that also.

Re: (tmramsburg)
Erased codes, plugged in IAT sensor. Getting spark now. But cranking is hard, little smoke out of TB, cranking stops for a sec erratically. Only got it up to 500 rpms once.
