Default Quick tranny fluid question.......searched

Hey like it says what kind of tranny fluid do i put in my 89 CRX Si
i heard 10w30 and like 1.8 quarts but i forgot where i heard that at.
I lost my CRX book i just moved and it got lost in the process
need answer ASAP thanks a million

Just did mine. It took just about 2.25 quarts.

I used Honda MTF. Don't know what the motor oil equivalent would be.

this is correct

and yeah u could use that grade of oil that is what I use to use in my JDM S1 transmission before

I believe for the single cam trannys, its 1.9 qts. to be exact. 2.25 qts sounds like a B series cable tranny capacity.

dude I know some people say to use 10w-30 oil and all that but after puttin that crap in my s1 tranny and THEN switching to honda MTF it was a world of difference. Plus whenever I draied out the oil, there was shiny glitter junk in the drain pan when I was done. I say ONLY use honda MTF. Any maintenace book or Car care guide worth 2 $hits will tell you to use honda MTF.
