Default need some advice on a b series tranny

I thought I might have a synchro problem. the gears started to grind and all that good stuff. Then one day the tranny became inpossible to shift. Someone told me that I might have broken a sping on my clutch and it might not be engageing all th way. I am wondering if a clutch with broken springs can cause the tranny to not shift? also can it cause grinds?

sounds like a broken clutch spring to me.

are there any weird noises when the clutch is disengaged?

well, if you're going to switch trannies, i would highly suggest taking a good look at your clutch/pressure plate to make sure they're in good condition. i think that's more likely your problem.

thats good to hear. well not for you but you know what I mean. I would rather replace a clutch and pressure plate than the internals of a tranny and then replace the clutch too. good lookin out dude.
