Check engine ligh and ABS are OFF ??
hello guys, i just checked my o2 sensor today and it is dead. I realized i didgnt get any code for that.
So i put the keys in ignition and surprise, while all the status lights of the dash were lit, none of the ABS and CEL (orange lights) were lit ???
Do i have a probleme....

Def. got some burned out blubs or something took them out. Probably the ABS so thorwing a code so both were taken out, or they are simply burned out... check that, cost $2 at Pep Bots
That's what i thought too... ill wait till it gets to about 0 degree outside and check out directly at ECU pin.
This would certainly mean that i have a problem with my engine/abs ! i didnt even notice i have abs right now...
Thx guys

The cars withOUT ABS still had the blank spot in the cluster with no bulb. D'ya think Honda made 2 different versions of the instrument cluster??
ok i tested my O2 sensor directly from the ECU and it'S steady at 0.3 V,
Haynes says steady below 0.45 V at 1500RPM or greater is BAD o2 sensor. Ill get a new one.
ECU pin for check engine light is giving a 0.25 V, kinda strange, ill check this later on.
What do I get from my experience?? If you have to check somthing electrical, look at ECU pinout, easy and precise !!

The ECU closes the ground side of that circuit to turn on the light. If you get 0.25v from the ECU when the CEL is NOT plugged in, that might be an open ground somewhere??
If you get 0.25v when the CEL is connected, maybe the hot side of the light's circuit is messed up.

ok i think i get what you mean(i'm know some about electronics)
The CEL is powered all the time but there is a MOSFET in between the buld and the ground. When the MOSFET gets 0.25V it let the current flows and CEL illuminate. When there is 0V, it opens the circuit, CEL is OFF.
