You all love when people post this **** but i am curious. I have a LS in my Civic and i am nearing the end of my swap. I just have to put my JDM B16a tranny on and i am ready to go! my question is what do you guys with this set up run for a quartermile. Only mods i have are intake, 3 inch exhaust, Stage 2 clutch, 8 lbs. flywheel, and port matching. Car mods, rims and suspension. Please dont flame i just am curious to know what to expect after i break in my clutch and i can start putting my car through the paces. thanks

 

i dont know if it is just me,but does anyone else agree with me that his 3'' exhaust is TOO big?


i THINK mid to low 15's

 

id have to say 3 is just right for a guy wanting to go turbo after i get done.

 

but until then you have little back pressure


or is back pressure only needed for vtec...i forget

 

I have never ran it at the track, but the b16 trans made a huge difference over the LS, well atleast in my eyes.

 

what is it like driving on the high way. and at what speed is the rpm at? like 65,75 etc.

 

Yeah i'd say around low 15's too

 

I will check it out for you...it is higher no doubt, but I do not pay much attention to it...

 

actually, some guy sent me a link to a site that does all the calculation and i found out. it was something like 75 was 4000 ish. i think it will be just fine for the high way. if not i will find out cause i drive mon-fri to work on the highway take 15 minutes doing 70-75.

 

b16's suck for the highway. I hate it

That sounds close. It does not suck, atleast not to me. MPG goes down a bit. But if you are doing for perf. then it is def. a good swap.

im putting an ls 5th gear in my b16 tranny,going to see how that goes...
