VAFC HELP!
i need help on my verison 2 apexi vafc.. i lower the vtec to 5600 cuz my ecu is chip but jun and the vtec kicks in 5800.. and my problem is how can i fix my air/fuel ratio.. im runnin hella rich????!! help...
well if u want to run only the VAFC and not the JUN chip, then open up the ECU, look around the area where the JUN chip is located. look for jumper J1 on the ECU. cut that jumper wire and ur ECU will return to stock(it wont use the maps on the JUN chip). i think the JUN chip is affect n the VTEC points u set on the VAFC. those chips usually make ur car run really rich anyways. so i would remove it and tune the car with the VAFC ON A DYNO!!!!! the thing that sucks about the VAFC is that it only adjust the fuel. ignition tables r kept stock. the JUN chip probably advances timing a bit.
oh by the way, is the VTEC activation point on the JUN chip set to 5800?

yup the JUN chip is set to 5800... but dayum theres no dyno here on guam..
but dayum if i was to take off the vafc do i have to remove all the wires i connected on the ecu.. or can i just unplug the vafc plug???? help!!!!!!!!!

u can advance timing at the distributor. To be honest general chips are just plain worthless (unless specifically designed for your setup). IMO 2-4 advance over stock ignition timing (is generally safe with good gas if u dont have a dyno to go to), get a wideband (datalogging would be preffered) and tune that sh$t with the VAFC. BTW try not to go over 15% of correction on the VAFC. The reason being is the VAFC changes MAP signal and that in effect changes ignition timing if changed too drastically. good luck.
