I am having some problems getting my turbo to fit. With my mani I have been having some problems.
The biggest problem. My turbo hits the A/C braket. I thought removing the AC would be enough, but nooo. Grinding the braket down will not help either. Will it hurt to cut the part of the braket off where my turbo hits?
And just to rant my the top of my WG hits one of the runners... Also the welds that connect the runners to the "head flange" do no allow the bolts to tighten down.
I looked for some pics but i could really find much.
THanks.

I do not think that it would hurt to remove the bracket, as long as you're not removing structual parts of the frame. What kind of car, and some pics would be helpful for other HT members.
You dont have any exhaust leaks at all w/o being able to fully torque the exhaust mani down?
Good luck guy getting your stuff going pppsssssssssssssssshhhhhhhh.

Speed factor made it, its a copy of a full race mani.
The A/C bracket is also a engine mount, looks like its there to eliminate swaying motion when your on the throttle. Im looking for a pic.

Is that the type of mani you have? Looks like your going to have to take that off but the problem is that the mount is a torque mount. Kind of screwed either way.

No, this is one of the guys mani's, mine is the same thing.
THe turbo hits the bottom part of that torque mount. I thought if i cut part of the mount off where the turbo hits it would be ok? Im not talking about removing the whole mount... just the bottom left corner. You would kinda have to be look at the mount to understand. I just cannot find a good pic

So its your compressor housing thats hitting your turbo right? Why not just switch it over to the other side (turn everything 180) thats how mine is. Just reroute your intercooler pipping.

I have thought about that... But I also want the 3" DP and i dont if that would work. Cutting the bracket wont be a problem... i just wanna know if it will hold up.
I have a 2.5 DP and it clears with enough room to stick an impact gun in there.
Test fit everything first and if it still doesnt fit then cut it. I am highly against it but who am i only one person. Good luck with what you choose.

by cutting off a piece of the bracket will you be cutting a piece that has a bolt going through it. if so i dont see why it would be such a problem with three on there. good luck.

You'll be fine. I ran with stock mounts and no torquemounts for months. Just chop off that corner and use the 3 remaining bolts to bolt down the torque mount

that seems like it would be easiest... the bracket is not holding up the AC condensor so thats less tension... i think it will hold.
