My stick keeps getting stuck!!!!!
My transmission/clutch gets stuck sometimes! I often have a hard time either getting the stick out of gear or, more commonly, into any gear. If I can roll the car a bit, it sometimes goes into a gear.
I notice this occurs much more frequently when it's cold outside. Once the engine heats up (~10 mins) it'll go into a gear.
I've had the master and slave cylinders replaced for my clutch recently. The master cylinder was leaking down through through the fire wall, in under my floorboards. The replacements helped a bit but now it's as bad as it was before, or worse!
My car has become unreliable!!! It's annoying as hell and takes all the fun out of driving. What should I do?

this happens with my reverse. i either have to put it into first gear then into reverse. or i have to step on the clutch all the way and slowly release it while i put it into reverse.
i think the shift fork may be bent.

same wiht mine sorta, it is just plain hard to shift it sometimes. Alot of the time ill have to use alot more effort than it is suppose to need to get it into gear, but there are no grinds or anything whatsoever
How old is your clutch? In my Teg my clutch was beyond shot, and one of the springs in the clutch disk had actually popped out, hitting the flywheel, making it hard to shift.
That seems to be a problem for a lot of cars, it happens in my crx because the clutch is bad... I'd say check out the clutch and replace it, and go from there.

I had it checked out by a mechanic taday. He says he's been working on cars like this for 30 years and the problem that I apparently have is quite rare.
When I drove it to the shop, it drove like a dream (of course). I didn't have any problems shifting. The stick glided from one gear to the next. Damn it!
The mechanic said it's probably not a spring that broke because I've never not been able to eventually get it into gear. It's not the slave cylinder or fluid levels. He thinks it may be the master cylinder (which I've had replaced recently). Perhaps, when it's cold, the seals are letting some pressure out of the hydraulic system. I don't know...
Any thoughts?

A friend of mine told me of this adjustment you can make on older cars that tightens up the clutch pedal so that you don't touch the carpet but get even better separation of the flywheel (or whatever). It has seemed to me that if I had about another inch of space to push the clutch further, it would work. I don't know, though. Do you guys know if you're able to adjust the clutch pedal at all from the cabin? Is he talking ****?
