Extremely high idle speed
I have a totalled 1994 Integra RS sitting in my garage waiting to have the engine ripped out and put in my Civic. The body is crushed pretty bad but the engine and transmission etc, should be fine. However, when I start the car it idles at about 1000-1500 rpm for a while but after a few minutes it steadily climbs up to......well I had it idling at almost 3000 rpm before I shut it off and nearly cried since this thing used to idle at 1000 even in the cold before it was smashed. I am worried that my precious B18 is messed up and I need it to work by springtime to do the swap. Any tips on how to save it from the junk pile?
i hate to bring this back but was there ever a solution to this problem? im having this exact problems and have all wiring AND vacuum double checked. my tps is good (well it worked fine in my crx) and same goes for the iacv. im stumped and have searched/read every idle topic on this forum.
if you can't find whats wrong, call some local mechanics and ask them if you bring the engine in itself, if they can look at it.
don't know where your at but they can do that here
