i can't decide on weather to get crower or some other cams
and no im not looking to go vtech im just pumpin up my ls hatch (94 b18b1 motor)
I want something good enough to be a daily driver but still good enough to work with this t3t4 turbo kit im tryin to get and pull at least 12sec
Money is not really an option tho i would like to keep it under $500
If anyone has changed ls cams before its my first time changing cams period what do i need to know and i was thinking of doing springs and retainers as well
im not mechaniclly stupied or anything i have changed timing belts and swap engines so i have somewhat of a clue i just want to get it right and not screw anything up

Your trying to get cams and a turbo kit for under 500 bucks? You cant get a set of cams for $500, period, unless their used, or suck. IF you think your gonna be running a 12 with a bolt on turbo kit, then keep dreaming, you would have to mod your car quite a bit to do so, and wouldnt be a dialy driver anymore, but thats just my opinion, I could be wrong.

heres my story i have a $12000 sponsorship and 55% of any parts so no im not trying to spend $500 on cams a turbo kit
more like $3000 on turbo kit after my 55% off and i have seen new cams $380 on ebay crower and i know someone who has them but cant go by the performance on there car cause the there motor sucks

I would much rather pay the extra 100 bucks for brand new ones from a reputible place, than take my chances on Ebay. No idea in my mind how you have a $12,000 sponsorship on yoru car if you dont have it modded, but good luck with your imagination, lol.

its not modded yet but sponsers arent always lookin for already modded cars there lookin for determination i had a 94 3000gt vr4 (sold), 94 integra ls i tricked(R.I.P) i just showed them my old cars and i was sponsered just like that my hatch i just got 2 month ago is going to be show/drag and im just starting to dip into engine internals and if its somthin i dont know how to do when it comes to my car i can learn id just rather ask someone whos done it b4 so i dont have no problems
Who's your sponsor??
Drag and show?? I doubt highly you can have a show car integra that can run 12's and be a daily driver. IF you do have sponsors, why is it that they dont sell you the stuff, why are you looking on ebay for parts??

I had a 94 integra i totaled and i put the engine in my 92 hatch i know wrong forum but i thought integra guys would know more about b18b1 ls motor than hatch guys
on the sponsorship question i just got sponsored this week and my sponsorship offers me 55% after there whole sell price from all the major companies (AEM,Greddy,Spoon,HKS,Mugen, and alot more like Crower) so its really like 65 or 70% plus $12000 in an account off and its my first purchase along with t3/t4 turbo kit i just can't deside on the best brand.

try spending the money elsewhere for bigger power gains for the money. Id invest in building the bottom block (rods/pistons/headstuds) and getting a really good tune off hondata or any other standalone if affordable
what do u mean u cant get BRAND NEW cams for under $500? these cams r for an LS motor and LS cams r cheaper than VTEC cams. I paid $340 shipped for my CROWER 62403 cams BRAND NEW!!!!! i baught them right here on honda-tech from a dealer. he's still sell n crower stuff for cheap. the price of the CROWER cams for LS motors went up a bit. i think it's now $380 or $390 shipped! check em out on the Performance section of honda-tech.
if ur gonna go turbo, then go with the crower 62402's or 62402T's

For Turbo cars i would go with Crower 402T's or the Crane #12's. These are cams made for turbo cars and they are cheap. With $12K you can build one hell of a motor, especially with the LS.

if u have all that money and sponsorship, then i would go all out! go for a sleeved 84mm block, Type R head, rods, pistons, etc, turbo, and tune with a standalone EMS (hondata). then after ur done, go for a JDM look. that always scores points with jusges at shows.

good amount of money + sponsership = all out
man, you really need to do your research before you start buying garbage with that money and turn your project car into a dump car. no offense to you though bro.
if i had that kind of sponsorship...let alone $12k to spend and around 50% off all my parts, my LS would be well in the 600+whp range and sport some sweet off the self eye candy.
just read up more about the LS motor and different kinds of builds and figure out which way you want to go before you actually start buying. also with that five digit cash figure i wouldn't sport anything off ebay. i'd buy it new so i know what i'm getting.

It all sounds good but i don't have the type sponsership u guys are thinking of but its always a catch my sponsers hold my money and i send them a list of parts, they take of 55% and the money comes out of the $12000 i don't get it in my hand if i did i could do almost everything through people i know and ebay like i did my integra before it was totaled for like $6000 but i dont officialy get the money in my hand so i cant put all these parts in by myself cause no lie i dont do engine internals i know its real bad to just throw a turbo and cams on stock motor but until i can afford to pay someone to do all the internal block work im just runin 8psi max and 5psi daily with turbo and the cams that what my boy does with his turbo ls hatch and my car is also in need of a paint job cause the red is ashy so i have to spend alot of money on making it look good or my sponsor will drop me

I hear what you are saying but I still dont see why you cannot get the parts you want. If you have to go through them to get the parts, then just comprise a list and submit it to them. Contact machine shops and paint shops, get estimates and submit those as well and they should take care of the rest(so I would assume by what you are telling us).

What is the difference between the 402s and the 402ts? I didn't know there were 2 different kinds. I guess the duration and lift is different right? I was planning on getting the 402s, but now I'll make sure they are the 402ts.
