Default K-series in an EK... Hondata, Fields, Apexi

Does anyone know what engine management system I can use to help get a little more hp. Tried VAFC and it doesn't work... keeps resetting the settings after a day or two. My friend has a Fields and we hooked it up and it does the same thing. The only thing I know of that I can use is Hondata... do I have any other options.

you could use a stock rsx r ecu? if u just want something cheap to drive the car on. Its not a management by anymeans. Your best bet IMO would be Kpro.

I'm using a RSX Type S ecu... but wanted to manipulate the crossover and feul output... don't need much else as it is going to end up being my daily.

Look into uberdata for that. It's much cheaper than hondata and you can do the same thing.

At this point, only hondata k pro or k100 really is available.. There are a few more ecus/programmable on the way but for a street car nothing else will work without major research.

One of the reasons is the VTC that is used by k series motors. At this point only hondate has been able to "simulate:" that.

On a type s, with good tuning, a hondata k pro will give around +20whp on average.

FOr engine mangement don't waste your time iwth hondata go for the good stuff get either AEM or Haltech. I had HAltech in my civic it made a big diffrence. AEM is prolly the best out there right now and most widely tuned. They can open it up and tune a lot better on a stand alone than hondata or a chipped ecu.

AEM doesn;t support k series at this time. Haltech doesn't as well. Unless you are in a drag setup and you are running vtec killers etc...

Thanks man..

Since I have not posted any good info on the EG forum lately, I would like to say that a stock block k20a EG with cams and valvetrain will run a 10 second 1/4 soon. Stay tuned

Did I mention all motor with no nitrous?

Do you have big cams or forced induction? If not, stop being a ricer by ******* with the stock fuel and VTEC algorithms. If so, get K-Pro and call it a day.
