Default The R is at the dealership tonight...

Took it in to Courtesy Acura today to see if they could fix my oil leaks under my extended warranty. One is where the oil dipstick tube is loose and slightly leaks. And the other appears to be the head gasket. After having the car all day they called back and said they couldn't find any leaks, but they did tighten the bolts on the oil pan. Also said they put some die in the oil and would drive it, then keep it overnight and see if any leaks appear in the morning. Seems kinda weird to me, if I can see an oil leak you would think they could too, They did give me a TL to drive while they have it, but I am still nervous with them keeping it.
One thing I did change lately was the oil, I went from Redline 5w-30 to Valvoline full syn. 5w-30.for the winter when I dont drive it as hard. Would the valvoline not leak like the Redline? I know that sounds crazy, but I dont smell it like I did before (where it runs down on the header and burns). Or could it be the colder temps this time of year? Or maybe they just fixed themselves, guess I'll find out tomorrow, if nobody steals it.

Good luck with the results.

What part(s) are going to bump you to DSP?

My dealer had no problems cheerfully fixing the t00b leak. They even hond bonded the new t00b in there for me.

Worked out OK, still never found any leaks. The dipstick tube is still loose, but doesn't leak. Turns out the tech. that worked on it has a Black ITR also, pretty cool.

If the dipstick is loose, pull it out, put some hondabond on that biyatch and ride out. Had the same problem and hondabond worked like gangbusters.
