Default Delsol won't run. Engine light stays on.

I have a 95 delsol S model. In swapping radio's I shorted a hot wire against the frame, since then the car won't fire. I have checked the fuel rail "no gas" and "no swirl from pump". The engine light does not go out with key on. I tried shorting out the ecm connector for a code read and the engine light just stays on (does not blink). Pulled the fuel relay and tested it with 12 volts (checked o.k.) but can't tell if power is getting to the relay. I'm leaning towards the ECM unit (module) but don,t know how to check it. Does anyone have any clues??? For the engine code the repair manual showed to jumper the blue 2-pin connector which I tried. The car does have a 3-pin the book said stay away from. Any help appreciated.

you dont short it out

sounds like you fried a relay, definately some fuses, and maybe incinerated some wires

Check all of the fuses under the dash. Also check the fuses under the hood and the drivers side by the battery.

actually you fried the ECU. my friend did it 3 times in a row and finally figured out he had the tach wire grounded out to metal.

main relay is fried also, when you turn the key to on, the check engine should come on for about 3-4 secs then go off. if it doesnt go off then its the relay. this is what happened to me with my car. no gas no spark.

no it is not..... check the "back up" fuse under the hood and there is a 15 amp fuse under the dash that gives it power.... replace them and you are in clear water.... good luck... dont listen to the people until you have checked everything else out and ruled everything out... PM me if you need help...

Try checking things such as fuses before you go buying another ECU and main relay. Check the ones under the dash and under the hood.
