OT: Just so I'm not crazy
What would be the purpose of the small opening on the Mugen DC5R bumper and the veilside as well as other swith a similiar design.
Am I crazy is this not some attempt to get a mild ramair/coldair induction?
Some guy on the"clubrsx" board is trying to tell me that it's to compesate for the stock grill opening?

Actually, it it one of those "deer whistles". It creates an inaudible whine so deer run away before getting hit by a car.
sorry, couldn't resist.

Do those deer whistle things really work? I was thinking about getting one back when I lived in Oregon...
if you're talking about the two larger "ducts"...they're actually vents to allow air to escape through the hood. when a car runs a splitter, the whole bottom of the engine compartment is covered so you have to find another way to vent all of that trapped air out of the engine compartment. mugen does this through a vented hood.
EDIT...i should've read the post more carefully...i thought you were talking about the hood and not the bumper.
