um, if you check your oil and it's lower than it was at a previous check,
if you are blowing blue smoke out your tailpipe,
oil on your spark plugs,
etc

black exhaust smoke ....if u keep adding oil just to keep it at a normal level.... if you just did an oil change and the dipstick is black already....if u have oil dripps when the car is parked u have a leak.....if u smell it burning oil...all of these things are a sign of oil loss or comsumption....

if you have no leak or nothing obvious u may have a problem with ur seals or internals get it compression tested if thats the case

black smoke is not oil, blue smoke is oil, you will also be able to smell it if you are burning a lot. Bring it in and get a compression test, if you have blowby try a set of new rings. Until you can do that, just make sure you are keeping it full on oil.

black smoke is normally fuel, if it's just a lil, I wouldn't be too worried.
what mods and how many miles do each of you have?

lol

as a general rule

blue = oil
white = coolant
black = fuel

and for the coolant, it wont just be the lil puffs you get when your car is warming up, it's more than that.
