Oil pressure after rebuild ?
I just installed a gauge on my rebuilt OEM gsr bottom end..
At idle it sits at about 30psi. 2500rpm 50psi, 3500rpm+ 70psi. It dosent go past 70psi.. Everything working top notch??
Thanks

That's about where mine is except at idle its around 25psi. Mine seems to max out around 75psi
What kind of gauge are you using?

autometer electric.. its actually 25psi at idle. And a hair under 75psi from 3500rpm+ i did a few more checks tonight.
its kinda neat i wanna keep looking at it because its always moving if im in stop go traffic.
I had oilpan dents, and vtec pressure switch codes before.. Pounded out oil pan and jumped sensor (new one was $60) so its just good to know my oil pressure is good.

Cool. I have the same gauge.
Is the ~75psi just the pump maxing out? At first I thought it was a faulty gauge/sending unit ...

Yeah its more of not really the pump maxing out, but more of the pressure release valve opening up.
If it wasnt im sure it would fluctuate more thoughout the higher rpm's needing more volume ETC..
75psi

75psi
on my ls i cruise at around 70-75 on the highway at around 3000 rpms. when i floor it my gauge (mechanical) goes all the way to 90 psi

What would be sad was if there was enough blow-by in his motor to actually raise the oil pressure due to the crank case pressure. Hell, my shitty motors probably do that.
