im looking for a roadracing track around the nyc area. i like VIR buts ita about 6-7 hours away from me. i was looking for something a little closer than that. if anybody has any info please let me know thanx alot

are there any other tracks besides limerock thats around nyc i would like to have two tracks i can go to

 

Pocono in PA
Watkins Glen in NY
Summit Point in WV

Believe me, VIR Full is worth the ride down to Virginia! I work in NYC & live 10 minutes from the GW Bridge & I make the pilgrimage to VIR at least once a year! Not many tracks in the North-East compare to VIR.

We also have Watkins Glen (about 4 hours from NYC), Summit Point (about 4 hours from NYC), Lime Rock (about 2 hours from NYC), & Pocono Raceway (about 2.5 hours)

 

thanx for the responds i have to say i to love VIR but i wanted to go to a closer track atleast twice a month. also where is summit point at not trying to sound stupid or anything

Summit Point is in WV. The best route is to take I-81 down & it's only about 4 hours driving time

Keep your eyes on Thunderbolt Raceway.

It has cleared some major hurdles and if built will be .1 mile LONGER than Road America in Wisconsin (currently the longest in the USA at 4.0 miles).

Should this go through, I may have to put a rollbar in the Civic again.
