Default I hate to whine, but my car did it first!

so last week i was driving and started to notice a slight whine coming from the from paseenger wheel area. its slight and isnt grinding, its almost a brake whine? cant tell. or my ES bushings? its starting to annoy me, just because it didnt before. the CV joints are new and the brake pads were replaced and rotors were turned a month or two ago. i cant seem to pinpoint it at all, and no searches came up with similar situations, unless its the dist, or alternator. any suggestions, or any ways to check? 90 CRX Si w/B16a. doesnt do it past 4-5k
im stumped.

does the whine go away when you brake? I got the same thing. I think its my cheap pads.

btw, speedo cable whine is cake to fix. get a can of white lithium grease, pull the cable, spray, replace and enjoy. takes 10 min todo.

yeah just pop the cable off the tranny and do the same for behind the guage cluster. Its super easy to get to on these civics.

Then you can pull the metal inner wire of the speedo cable out of the sheath. Clean it off good, then spray it with some white lithium grease or anything similar. Spray a little into the sheath also. (To much and you'll cover your drivers seat in the stuff) Slide it back in and enjoy.

I had the whine for 2 years, it was worse in the winter. I was suprised how easy it was to fix.

is there any variation in it realavent to engine RPMS? or when the clutch is depressed, or when you apply brake. It has to change sometime because if its whining its probably rotating, unless when your stopped its still doing it you can eliminate any suspension/brakes/wheels probs.

you see what i mean, process of elimination.
